Big Root

The Big Root is a unique crop found in the Cobblemon universe, typically growing from the ceilings of caves near the surface. This item is not just a crop; it serves as a held item that enhances the health regained from draining moves by 30%. Occasionally, in the place of a Big Root, an Energy Root might appear, which is used to heal Pokémon, although it slightly affects their friendship levels.

Obtaining​

Big Roots can be obtained by breaking them in their natural environment, where they yield a single Big Root or, alternatively, an Energy Root. Both roots are easily mined with any tool, and collecting a Big Root contributes to the advancement titled "The Root of Basic Healing."

Natural Generation​

These roots naturally generate in small clusters, hanging from the ceilings of caves above the deepslate layer across various biomes. They are more likely to spawn near y=62. A Big Root has a chance of being replaced by an Energy Root in the ratio of 3:1 during world generation.

Certain Pokémon drop Big Roots with varying probabilities:

  • Diglett: 2.5% chance
  • Dugtrio: 5% chance
  • Bellsprout: 2.5% chance
  • Weepinbell: 5% chance
  • Victreebel: 10% chance
  • Tangela: 2.5% chance
  • Carnivine: 5% chance
  • Tangrowth: 5% chance

Farming​

Big Roots can spread when planted below stone or dirt-like blocks at low light levels, expanding underneath adjacent blocks. There's a possibility that newly spawned roots may be Energy Roots. Using bone meal on a root forces it to spread, initiating the growth of a new root.

Big Roots have multiple uses and can be used in different crafting and smelting processes, as well as in brewing and making medicine.
