Poké Ball
A Poké Ball is a quintessential tool in Cobblemon for catching and storing Pokémon. With 48 variants available, mastering their usage can greatly enhance your gaming experience. In this article, we'll delve into the variants, obtaining methods, and usage tips for Poké Balls.
Obtaining
As of version 1.4.1 of Cobblemon, crafting is the primary method for obtaining Poké Balls, with future updates potentially introducing new villager professions selling these items. Currently, some specific balls like the Cherish and Ancient Origin Ball require access to Creative Mode or commands for acquisition, making them rare assets.
Usage
Poké Balls are integral for acquiring Pokémon beyond the initial starter. To use them, players must equip a Poké Ball in their hand through the hotbar and throw it at a Pokémon. Successful captures add the Pokémon to your party or send them to the PC. Each ball variant has unique catch rates influenced by specific conditions. Unsuccessful throws mean the Poké Ball cannot be recovered if it fails to capture the Pokémon.
